Hiring Food Product Development Manager - Mushroom Nutraceuticals

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Food Product Development Manager to lead our efforts in creating and enhancing our mushroom-based offerings.
As the Food Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, a passion for creating unique and healthy products, and the ability to drive innovation in the mushroom nutraceutical space.
1. Product Conceptualization and Ideation:
- Lead the ideation and conceptualization of new mushroom-based food products, considering market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional benefits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to align product development with business goals.
2. Recipe Development and Formulation:
- Formulate and refine recipes for mushroom-based food products, ensuring taste, texture, and nutritional profiles meet high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source premium-quality ingredients and establish strong vendor relationships.
3. Research and Innovation:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in food science, nutraceuticals, and mushroom-based products.
- Conduct research on new ingredients, technologies, and processes to drive continuous innovation in product development.
4. Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards throughout the product development process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations and standards.
5. Production Scale-up:
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to scale up production while maintaining product consistency and quality.
- Conduct pilot runs and provide guidance during full-scale production.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing to create compelling product messaging and positioning.
- Collaborate with the ecommerce and sales teams to understand customer feedback and market demands.
7. Testing and Evaluation:
- Conduct sensory testing and evaluations to gather feedback on product attributes.
- Use data and feedback to refine and optimize product formulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (Atleast 5 years) in food product development, preferably in the nutraceutical or health food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food science, formulation, and sensory evaluation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
